feature request: subscribe to people's QiK's currently works
only via RSS aka in a dedicated reader. youtube has an awesome
feature where they show you the last 5 videos from your friends,
but it only works on a computer. why not make it so you can friend
people on QiK to follow their videos and have a simple UI to view
your friends videos on your PC, but also build in some sort of
read/unread mechanism. why? so you can use this mobile QiK playback
feature to keep track of your friends videos while on the road.
Something else: embedded in the newly-enhanced RSS feeds for
each user on Qik, you can download full, high-quality versions of
the stream in the original resolution. Want to stream over wifi at
full 640*480 resolution, running at 30 fps? Great -- now you can
download the 3gp file and do whatever you'd like with it.
it's a good idea, but I don't see the point of downloading (ie
not streaming) the full res on my phone... if it refuses to play
it; ;) (download doesn't start actually, just throw an alert saying
format unplayable).

anyways. The Podcasting application from Nokia simply says that
anything that's not 3gp is 'unplayable'. I've reported this to them
repeatedly, with no updates, frustratingly enough. Same thing with
my Driving with the Guru and the Smartphones Show. Both play
beautifully on my N95, neither will download without throwing up
the error message. Deters viewers, but also prevents them from
automatically downloading if you have it set in the podcasting app.
REAL annoying.

love it :) just two improvement req.: - on the video list, not only
show the view count and created time, but also the file size and/or
video length, so that one can decide if it's worth the download. -
also, loading a second page first before being able to play the
video when clicking on the video-icon does not seem to make much
sense to me. why not play right on the first click? would be much
easier.. - i like the old logo better.. ;)
@afr: if you're logged in,
that first stopping point allows you to edit the video (title and
privacy settings). Will revise it soon so that it only does that
stop if you're logged in.
request: able to edit profile in wap site. wanted to change the
default userid just now on the road, but wasn't able to on mobile,
and had to wait till i got home.
interesting.. i also just got several "The requested URL xxxxxx
was not found on the server" error. one was the last video "avond
eten" by "klaask" (....d88c695... ), plus another one. both were on
top of the list. however, after sorting the videos after the user
"klaask", the "avond eten" video worked again. strange..
I have said this to @BRoy
previously but I will say it publicly, I think it's fantastic that
a Co-Creator is spending time on Jaiku with us getting feedback and
chatting.

But scratch that.. I tried several times without success. I relaunched everything now everything work. :-?
